Message From Electronic Cigarette Association President Matt Salmon
The Electronic Cigarette Association (ECA) is comprised of international manufacturers, suppliers, resellers and consumers who are dedicated to the advancement of electronic smoking technology.
As stated in their site: “The association was founded to institute and promote industry-wide standards and a code of conduct, work to maintain sound professional practices, educate the public and policy-makers on the industry’s activities and potential, and ensure the ethical use of electronic cigarette technologies.”

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Salmon for his contribution to the industry. Without people like him thousands of people would suffer just like the members of his family.
I think it is time the United Kingdom also established an organization to promote and champion the electronic cigarette.
I watched a program the other evening about cigerettes and how harmful they are to infants and small children.
It turns out that we have overlooked the most dangerous of all…THIRD HAND SMOKE. Babies and toddlers learn by “MOUTHING”. They taste and learn by putting things in there mouths. Have you ever seen a room where heavy smokers have left and you can see where the pictures were? Bingo! If the walls look like that everything in that room has the same brown poison on it, right down to the dust on the furniture and toys. It’s time to make make people aware of “THIRD HAND SMOKE”. For people with infants and toddlers, they are getting a double dose of poison. Both SECOUND HAND & THIRD HAND. An infant
came near to death a few years back in our town. After searching for the cause of the poisoning, it turned out the
baby had chewed a cigertte butt. Nicotine poison. A nasty
mouthing insident. Did the parents quit smoking? No.
A 5 day old infant died. Cause of death…not enough oxygen and (second hand) smoke from windows being closed. They spray field with tabaco juice to kill bugs. Do you wash you vegetables?
